SVP Sales Vertical Tech & Telco

The Senior Vice President, Tech & Telco is responsible for leading the monetization strategy for the Tech & Telco vertical across the company. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the space who understands the landscape, what drives consumer behavior, and what matters most to Tech & Telco marketers.                          

What You’ll Do

Business growth

  • Drive tech and telco revenue growth while optimizing operational efficiencies to deliver on goals
  • Unify the company’s approach to the tech/telco vertical across the enterprise
  • Build and manage the annual strategy and growth plan for the tech/telco vertical
  • Partner with cross-functional business partners and senior leadership to identify and implement new sources of revenue growth
  • Demonstrate expertise in complex negotiations and the ability to close new business by leveraging corporate executives when appropriate to maximize results
  • Communicate and prioritize product and business needs from the field to appropriate corporate departments
  • Identify key client events and represent the company at important industry engagements

Marketing

  • Maximize revenue through the creation and marketing of the company’s unparalleled platform and products
  • Work cross-functionally with teams in Marketing, Research & Insights, Brand Development, Brand Success, Finance, HR, and others to optimize the company efforts in the tech/telco category
  • Develop and own relationships with marketing leaders and C-suite partners 

Leadership

  • Regularly brief the company’s Executive and Senior Leadership on performance
  • Build a high-performance and inclusive team
  • Promote the company’s core values by hiring culturally aligned team members and leading by example
  • Identify and support professional training and development opportunities for team members

What You’ve Done

  • Preferred minimum of ten (10) years proven management experience in media, digital and/or broadcast sales and marketing managing cross functional geographically distributed diverse teams
  • Demonstrated business leadership success and management experience with strong background in revenue generation and YOY growth
  • Collaborator who expertly navigates complex, matrixed organizations, demonstrating their ability to influence others and build trust
  • Comfortable navigating key decision makers and C-level executives internally and externally
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of marketing including digital, social, event, broadcast, podcast, cause-marketing, and media attribution
  • Strong data analytical skills with a proven ability to communicate the benefits of marketing opportunities to brands
  • Exceptional business acumen and insightful understanding of industry trends and revenue drivers
  • Entrepreneurial drive and an ability to organize, prioritize, and clarify deliverables
  • Capable of making tough business and people decisions, while creating positive energy in the face of challenges
  • Effectively drive team performance and execute in a high-performance, multi-tasking and “chaos is ok” culture
  • Dynamic presence, stellar written and presentation skills, and excellent communication and influencing abilities across multiple levels
  • Undergraduate degree or appropriate combination of education and experience is required
  • Highly-adaptable self-starter
