This role will facilitate and develop relationships within the top levels buying and merchandising within our strategic accounts and manage the business activities to support existing and future business growth.
Namely, developing strategy and managing the execution of the strategy by merchandising, design, product development and other internal FAM teams so that the specific sales objectives, both tactical and strategic, are met.
Success will be demonstrated by the ability to achieve sales goals, execute buys, support sales strategies, and carry out market-building strategies throughout our strategic accounts on a cross-functional basis.
This role requires a self-motivated approach and willingness to adapt and learn, while also possessing strong commitment to team environment dynamics and collaboration across multiple departments under the direction and supervision of more senior members of the team.
As this is a customer-facing role, you will possess a keen intellect and high-level executive presence which will instill confidence in FAM and reinforce the customer’s decision to grow their assortment with us.
Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Accounts located in New York, you will act as the liaison and primary point of contact (POC) between her and the LA-Based resources.
You will own the process of partnering with the team on client-facing sales activities, from line prep to scheduling, and then have extensive involvement in buyer meetings, internal and external recaps and ultimately culminating the pricing / proposal process(es).
Lead sample library organization and post meeting transfers for your team/account-buyer base.
Bridge the distance gap with cross-functional teams for in-person meetings and day to day check-ins.
Assist design with seasonal trend research decks and support presentation deck reviews and provide early development seasonal input on item conceptions for supplier meetings.
Participate in or direct comp-shopping endeavors as the primary source for local and online buys needed for competitive analysis, research, and / or line development activities.
Ensure buyer shipments are completed on time and accurately, through ensuring buyer shipments are ready, including getting racks ready, tagging clothes, taking photos, labels, bagging and boxing.
Review and approve all buyer mail out activities, including checking CADS, emails, and garments before leaving FAM office.
Support special projects for the head of Club or others as requested and needed to support our strategic account client base.
