Edelman has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Executive (SAE).
For this role, you will be specifically supporting a widely popular fast-food client on the LA brand team!

The team is currently working remotely, but we prefer that the candidate is based in LA for when we eventually return to the office.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide client service and cross-team support by attending meetings and taking detailed notes, drafting recaps, handling scheduling and logistics, preparing client status and activity reports
- Develop, edit and proofread materials, including press releases, media pitches, media lists, interview briefs, fact sheets, client correspondence and other materials
- Conduct research, compiling and analyzing media and competitor coverage, or background information on speaking or executive visibility opportunities
- Media monitoring and ongoing, real-time coverage tracking; development of client-facing reports and support in program recaps
- Engage with media and key stakeholders
- Identify real-time trends and provide creative brainstorming against potential client activations or engagement opportunities
- Understanding client’s business, including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors in the marketplace, and is able to creatively offer solutions or ideas related to their business goals and objectives
- Experience in using monitoring and media tools like Cision, TrendKite and MuckRack is a plus

Basic Qualifications:
- The Senior Account Executive must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including marketing, advertising, media, and publishing.
- Experience in earned media and/or global brand highly preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field relevant field (PR, English, Communications, Journalism, Advertising) from an accredited college or university
- Solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they are used to achieve client goals
- Strong research, writing and editing skills and the ability to develop media contacts/relationships
- Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative in developing appropriate traditional and online media strategies
- Proactive self-starter with excellent organizational and project management skills, along with the ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines
