What is a Saxco Sales Representative?
The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing customers, and effectively selling Saxco’s value proposition. The individual will sell all Saxco product lines including but not limited to, glass, plastic containers, aluminum cans, closures, capsules, corrugated packaging, and various value-added services for the beverage and food industries.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to any of these functions and responsibilities as required)
A. Secure and grow new business opportunities with prospect accounts. Revenue, Margin, and other strategic goals will be defined annually. Various Beverage and Food accounts will be the primary focus.
B. Maintain, and grow both existing and new business opportunities with current customers within the defined geography or assignment. Increasing customer’s total share of wallets and introducing new products to their portfolio will be the primary focus.
C. Manage demand, relationships, and expectations with both new and existing customers.
D. Follow Saxco Sales Process.
Additional and Essential Job Functions (but not limited to any of these functions and responsibilities as required)
E. Manage demand signals, product specifications, monthly forecasting, new product development, and order entry.
F. Actively use CRM for daily customer tracking, customer CTQ (critical to quality), lead and pipeline maintenance.
G. Communicate market needs and competitive activity, including pricing, products, and value-added services.
H. Effectively utilize Saxco internal resources.
I. Attend tradeshows and other functions as required.
J. Regional and territory travel as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
K. At least 5 years of outside sales experience within the printing and or packaging industry. Experience in selling rigid containers such as Glass, Plastic, or Aluminum cans are preferred.
L. Experience in selling packaging with a value-added distribution company is preferred.
M. Track record of success identifying new prospects and developing new business, while protecting the existing business. This requires service and value-oriented selling skills.
N. Proven ability to call on, interact with, and penetrate all levels of an organization, from the C-suite to the receptionist.
O. Superior problem-solving skills and aptitude.
P. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Q. Self-starter with excellent time management skills.
