Sales Representative – Jewelry Channel

Find your place on our team now Summary This position is responsible to open new retail distribution in the Jewelry channel.

Typical prospection process starts with telephone calls (average 150-200 per week) then email follow-up.

Once a lead is confirmed, if needed the sales rep might travel to the account to finalize the deal.

As much as possible meetings need to be clustered in the same geographical region for travel efficiency.

Target markets are highly populated and high household income areas such as: Northeast corridor, California, Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Atlanta, Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver, and Portland OR.

Another responsibility will be to manage regional sales groups such as the NYC/NJ area.

Those groups need to have clear and tight guidance on assortments they can sell, brand positioning and strategy per channel.

There might be some existing accounts that could be transferred.

This position will report to the Head of Global Travel Retail.

Responsibilities Retain knowledge and understanding of CROSS products, policies practices and procedures and the ability to relate to all areas and management levels.

Travels to customers and potential customer facilities, providing them with information and support as required to achieve new sales or re-occurring sales in order to achieve sales targets as established by the Retail Sales Division.

Merchandises product in retail outlets to ensure CROSS product and merchandise is displayed appropriately to appeal to customers and maximize potential sales opportunities.

Manage all leads/prospects in salesforce.com.

Communicates customer requirements and requests support from internal sales support personnel in order to achieve sales objectives.

Assist in territory coverage plan to define type and frequency of customer support needed to meet sales goals.

Requirements: 1 to 3 years of sales experience with a Bachelors degree in a business-related field is required Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Strong awareness for finding leads and contacts, such as Google, LinkedIn, tradeshows and associations.

Strong PowerPoint skills are required in order to customize presentations to prospect needs.

Excellent communication skills, via writing, phone and in person, with fluency in written and spoken English.

Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Maintains strict confidentiality and discretion on all job related information Ability to work closely and productively with a wide-variety of personalities and professional disciplines.

Ability to independently organize, troubleshoot, problem solve and complete work in a quick and efficient manner.

Must be flexible and team-oriented Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines with a sense of urgency and accuracy.

Ability to manage and prioritize competing tasks in a customer-focused, changeable business environment.
