SALES position- Safety Products

This is a Sales position Position Title: Sales Professional for Safety Products Denver, CO Regular travel is required for this position How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Safety Sales Specialist regularly calls on specific customers assigned to a sales territory with the purpose of maintaining business and increasing sales in the safety industry.

This person is also responsible to identify and qualify prospective customers within their assigned territory and communicate this information to the Safety Sales Manager.

Sells safety, equipment, materials, and supplies to machine shops and diverse organizations, including, but not limited to restaurants, schools, hospitals, etc.

This position must effectively communicate with all process leaders, which is crucial to the success of this position.

Direct communication with Area, Branch, Sales, and Plant Managers regularly.

In particular, you will: Actively pursue and acquire, on an on-going basis, new and competitive accounts with emphasis on safety supplies.

Act as liaison between customer and company with regard to pricing, products, delivery information, payments, service, and inquiries.

Maintain and upgrade selling skills and technical/product knowledge in safety equipment.

Complete and turn in sales-related paperwork, including call reports, cylinder audits, month-end reports, expense reports, mileage reports, etc., in a timely manner.

Provide market and competitor information to the supervisor.

Maintain a professional and neat appearance of self and vehicle when representing the company.

Ensure customer inquiries related to billing problems, cylinder balances, order status, time of delivery, etc.

are promptly and courteously handled, providing follow-up as necessary.

Lead and promote safety, attend safety meetings, and strictly observe safety rules.

Qualifications ARE YOU A MATCH?

5 years experience in welding industry or safety sales.

Must have reliable transportation to travel to customer sites.

Strong understanding of products and processes.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to perform data entry in a computer and extract information on orders.

Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

Must be detail oriented.

Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with insurance coverage as required by the company.

Ability to use tools, routinely lift 25
– 75 lb., climb, reach and perform various physical maneuvers to perform the essential duties of the job, with reasonable accommodation if necessary.

Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

High school graduate or GED equivalent plus five (5) years industry experience.

Pay range: $ Target compensation is based on experience with a base of 80% of total comp, range of $76,800.00 to $96000.00 with an additional 20% commission for a total compensation of $96,000.00 to 120,000.00 DOE.

In addition you’ll receive an auto allowance of $500 per month plus mileage reimbursement.
