Sales Porter

Description:

The Sales Porter is responsible for the flow of the Sales Department by receiving, moving and parking vehicles
to accommodate all sales personnel requests. A Sales Porter must keep the inventory lots organized, park
vehicles in every designated area, receive new cars, attend to sales staff requests and more.
Sales Porters strives to provide a 5-Star Treatment by delivering exceptional service to all sales department with a professional, polite, and positive attitude.

***Must work on the Weekend***

Key Duties:

Create key fobs for all new and used units – make sure all vehicles are fobbed correctly prior to adding to the key machine (Make, model, year, color, VIN);
If you cannot find the vehicle or keys, contact your supervisor immediately or the Site Manager for assistance.
Keep your supervisor updated on your assigned tasks and ETAs;
Attend to salespersons’ requests;
Take care of sold units (gas up, take to wash and detail);
Receive PDIs/ dealer trades from transporters – Unwrap cars, check for books, keys, and body damage;
Delivery cars out to transporters (sold, dealer trades, whole sale, etc);
Organize key machines and second keys of the sales department;
Move cars between sales lots as well as organize them (check the charging system of every sales car once a
week);
Keep the showroom organized and clean, with all cars properly parked and connected to the maintainer;
Stock and update sales cars status (VIN Point, laminated MSRPs, buyers guides, addendums);
Make sure frontline cars are “ready” to sale (Stickers and paperwork);
Before moving any cars, make sure about the vehicle status with a sales manager;
Install/ remove plates and frames (regular and digital);
Perform smog checks on used cars;
Be aware of Advisors’ and Managers’ on-site, your team schedule, and teams.
Requirements:
Friendly with high energy and the willingness to go above and beyond.
Highly responsible, professional, and reliable.
Unrestricted California driver’s license and clean driving record.
Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.
Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain
composure under stress.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic computer and internet skills.
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
Must be customer service oriented.
Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and team members.
Must be self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills.
Strive to respect and facilitate teamwork within all departments.
