We are looking for a Sales Planning Analyst in our Los Angeles Office to maintain and improve data management efforts, create and improve Power BI reporting and analytics, and support end users on data-related topics.
The ideal candidate has a passion for leveraging data to drive business impact, and is positively challenged by an ever-changing environment, while still able to consistently provide impeccable service and accurate deliverables.
This person must have excellent analytical and quantitative skills, aptitude for investigating, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
This position reports to the Director, Sales Planning.
Job Description
A Day In The Life at FIJI Water:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FIJI Water business policies, processes and best practices to provide a high level of support to customers, partners and internal sales team
Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions
Collaborate with IT and users to validate data integrations and maintain data quality.
Identify and lead data quality improvement initiatives
Optimize queries and data modeling to extract, manipulate and/or calculate information ensuring high performance and analytics for end users
Create and produce reports utilizing our data warehouse and other sources and summarize your findings through automated visualizations in Power BI
Reconcile data discrepancies between source system reports and reports generated through data warehouse; comfortable manipulating large data sets, digging into details, and identifying the drivers of discrepancies
Design and build technical processes to address business issues
Work closely with business units and stakeholders in identifying data related opportunities, including inter-departmental collaboration with Marketing, Customer Insights, and Finance
Anticipate future demands of data analytics and strategic initiatives and design/implement solutions to meet these needs
Responsible for measuring, tracking and communicating progress on a regular basis to supervisor
Communicate and follow-up effectively with team members
Promotional activity reporting & analysis
Partner with Sales Team to coordinate the completion of other ad hoc data requests received by field Sales Managers, including development of Customer Presentation materials/resources
Store and maintain archive of all work and applicable supporting documentation in organized shared drives and websites
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your Contribution to FIJI Water:
The successful candidate will possess business operations experience, analytical and critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:
2+ years of experience with manipulating large datasets, building data visualizations, and sales analytics; consumer packaged goods experience preferred, Wine/Adult Beverage experience a plus
BA/BS in Business, Computer Sciences/Engineering or associated discipline
Solid understanding of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources
Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel skillset, and Power BI required.
IRI, SalesForce.com, Power Apps, Power Automate experience a plus
Orientation toward action and taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
Creative problem-solving skills; analytical thinker
Strong internal and external communication skills required
Must be professional, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
Must be self-motivated and work well within a team environment
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people at all levels across the organization with a team mentality
Comfortable with ambiguity in client requests and needs; able to be resourceful in terms of uncovering insights from multiple sources and people
