Sales Executive

The primary objective of the Kuehne+Nagel US Sales Organization is to ensure the growth of Kuehne+Nagel Road Logistics through the development of new business. The Road Logistics Sales Executive is responsible for winning new accounts within the assigned branch office territory. The position is also responsible for maximizing sales growth from existing customers through the development of new sales, product marketing, and customer support strategies; and achieving specific volume growth targets in the assigned area(s) of the business.

We are seeking individuals with experience in the Logistics Operations or Sales of Freight Solutions who want to refresh or start a new career, and are not afraid of failure and selling in a highly competitive market. Your Responsibilities

  • You will create a Sales Plan and implement that plan to success
  • You will partner with operations to apply specialized knowledge relative to the assigned your department and trade lane (where applicable)
  • You will conduct customer visits, calls, presentations, quarterly business reviews, negotiations and contracts
  • You will input and update of sales activities using Client Relationship Management system
  • You will ensure transitioning of customer to operations following customer requirements
  • You will demonstrate expertise on all company products / service offerings and manage the sales of these offerings
  • You will use all resources at your disposal to ensure success and appropriate customer service while complying with all regulatory requirements
  • You will liase/Partner with teams on RFQ, pricing and handover preparation

Your Skills and Experiences

  • BS or Certificate in Logistics / Supply Chain / International business / Project Management.
  • 2 years field sales in freight forwarding
  • 2 years of operational experience.
  • Experience with logistics processes and solutions
