POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sales Executive will be responsible for using proven ability to drive new business to the organization. Sales Executives are part of a team of sales, service and marketing professionals who leverage the company’s resources to identify, attract and secure contracted business with net new clients. The Sales Executive is the lead salesperson providing strategic and consultative management for a portfolio of new client prospects. Sales Executives are strategic advisors to prospective clients and have in-depth understanding of the client’s business, goals, challenges, trends, and direction. The position requires passion for helping clients meet their business objectives by providing claims, network and other insurance solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and manages the entire sales cycle from lead generation through close.
  • Secures contracted business with new clients within a specified territory.
  • Independently creates and cultivates a pipeline of potential clients.
  • Utilizes the company’s vast resources to create solutions that exactly meet client needs.
  • Creates selling opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Regularly contacts and meets with prospective clients to understand their buying decisions and needs.
  • Identifies, pursues, and qualifies growth opportunities for the company.
  • Establishes and maintains productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Develops winning strategies, coordinates internal resources and leads communication with prospective clients.
  • Provides real time updates through sound pipeline management and documentation.
  • Works closely with business leaders to build client level solutions.
  • Leverages professional network, colleague industry contacts, conferences and other means to gain access to potential clients.
  • Skillfully gains access to decision makers, overcomes objections and obstacles.
  • Embodies the Alacrity Way of Selling throughout all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly gain a firm understanding of company strategic objectives; clearly understands his/her functional responsibility for these objectives; has a track record of successfully implementing goals, strategies and plans essential to supporting overall company strategy.
  • Strong self-motivation with a pioneering/entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Proven and successful sales track record with experience in achieving growth objectives.
  • Experience performing complex sales engagements within the insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating contract terms and building solutions that meet client needs.
  • Ability to understand complex business situations and how to provide solutions.
  • Conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure.
  • Uses personal creativity to introduce novel, new ideas, concepts, approaches, processes or tools that enhance the business’s strategic goals and business results.
  • Remains objective, optimistic and enthusiastic toward work and others, despite resistance.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAITS:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years’ experience in business development, sales, or program management with a solid track record of designing solutions linked to strategic business goals.
  • Travel:
    • Ability to travel up to 40%
