Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a technical sales professional located in the Los Angeles area.
This position is responsible for selling Instron’s range of advanced dynamic and fatigue testing systems and accessories.
Our customers use Instron?s products to test a wide range of materials within a diverse range of industries including biomedical, aerospace, electronics and automotive.
Our systems can be found in quality control, research and development and educational laboratories throughout the world.
The key responsibility of this role is to develop and implement a proactive territory management plan that ensures bookings plans and objectives are met or exceeded.
This plan also incorporates a strategy to proactively increase market share within specific industries and applications.
To assist you in exceeding the sales targets for the territory, and ensure you are able to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction, you will be partnered with an established sales and service support team.
The job will ideally be based in Atlanta and will cover most of the southern states.
You will be provided with a company vehicle and typically overnight travel is estimated to be 60% (currently limited by COVID-19 restrictions).
Qualifications Successful applicants will be highly self-motivated and have a technical bachelor?s degree (e.g., materials science or mechanical/electrical/biomedical/chemical engineering), combined with experience of technical capital equipment sales.
Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software and the successful management of a multi-stage sales funnel is required.
Knowledge of closed-loop servo-hydraulic and linear electric motor technology is a plus.
