TITLE: Sales Engineer TYPE: Direct Hire LOCATION: Western Region, based in CA ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Remote plus 40-50% travel START DATE: April/May 2023 We are looking for a Sales Engineer that would be in charge of all sales-related activity in a set multi-state domestic territory. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Advance the revenue from an established domestic customer base through an existing sales process, including targeted sales visits with routine email and telephone contact. Grow the customer base. Lead prospects through a multi-call sales routine using product demonstration and cost-benefit data to build pro-company justification. Aid prospects and customers through site visits with the intent of reviewing applications, educating plant employees, and helping determine the correct selection and sizing of company actuators. Give start-up training and support to make sure proper operation and installation of company actuators. Generate a call report for each sales visit with added details on action plans, progress made, and market intelligence/competitive information collected. Obtain an outstanding knowledge of the industries that are served by our company Execute a yearly territory sales forecast and give regular updates on projects and sales group projects. QUALIFICATIONS Engineering degree required, BSME or BSCHE is preferred 5-10 yrs of industrial/plant experience as a Manufacturing, Operations, Project, or Process Engineer. 5-10 yrs of business/sales experience. The experience would preferable be in a technical sales position, but a service or applications engineer role will be taken into consideration. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Must have the desire and ability to travel 40-50% of the time. Interest in making a few international trips each year is ideal. Must be able to pull/lift demo cases up to 100lbs, and climb ladders.
