Big Man Bakes Llc in Los Angeles, CA is looking for one sales associate to join our team.
We are located on 413 S Main St.
Our ideal candidate is reliable, a self-starter, ambitious.
*Meet selling goals/expectations during scheduled shifts *Effective customer service skills delivered with a friendly disposition *Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally *Cash Handling *Ensures cleanliness, health and safety standards are maintained *Food Handler’s Card a plus *Be reliable, prompt and accountable *Must have the ability to stand and work on the sales floor on a regular basis *Ability to work a varied schedule including nights and weekends *1 year retail sales experience (preferred) *Works as a part of a high-performing team to achieve store’s sales goals *Must be at least 18 years old **Must have either a High School Diploma or its equivalent (GED) *Ability to use a range of physical motion to display and/or replenish merchandise *Other job-related activities as requested by Store Leader *Stays informed by maintaining product knowledge and accesses available training material
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week.
Compensation is $16.50
– $18.00/hour.
About BIG MAN BAKES LLC: “The Big Man” (Chip Brown) was actually a physician-in training when he began selling his cakes to colleagues at the hospital more for fun than as an enterprise.
At 6 foot 5 inches tall, the “Big Man” who looks like a linebacker, used baking as a stress reliever for all those long hours of study.
He also discovered a natural correlation between chemistry in the lab & the chemistry of the perfect cake, as well as the art of healing through great cupcakes!
While navigating through careers in medicine, politics & technology, Chip ultimately collaborated with long time technology guru Claudine Grier, a former Microsoft executive, & together they launched Big Man Bakes in October 2009 in the Old Bank District in Downtown Los Angeles with a mission to win the hearts, minds & sweet appetites of folks around the globe.
Now, Big Man Bakes has appeared on the Food Network, CNN, & OWN (Oprah’s network) and has been listed as one of the top ten bakeries by the Los Angeles Times.
Co-Founder Claudine Grier also pioneered the early philanthropic endeavors of Big Man Bakes & thus the company has generously donated to many charitable organizations such as, Orphans International, Pediatric Cancer Society, Downtown Women`s Center, Grand Performances Summer Concerts Series, Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment(Japan Tsunami Relief Fundraiser), California African American Museum, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, LAUSD, many downtown Los Angeles shelters, and other charitable organizations.
