Job Summary: Perform/Learn all aspects of sales, managing, and servicing retailers.
When applicable, strategize and work with sales agency.
Develop sales plans that help accounts achieve their corporate sales goals.
Conduct sales presentations, store surveys, monitor inventory, and weekly POS.
Track and Analyze sales by account and communicate efficiently with the sales analyst and production teams to build efficient production forecasts.
Immersion within the Product Development Process, including assisting in New Product Development and product lifecycle management will be a requirement of this position.
Hours Required: 40 hrs Major Responsibilities Manage existing retailer and sales accounts as assigned.
Set sales meetings / line reviews to introduce new products, highlighting features and benefits.
Assist in development of sales plans and strategies that parallel both Retailer’s and HMS’ corporate goals.
Create and drive themed sales presentations – working with Product Development & Graphics Dept.
Complete extensive follow up based on feedback received during customer meetings.
Learn and Navigate Vendor Portal sites to analyze POS, shipping, inventory ownership, and store / DC reports.
Ability to analyze and summarize this shared data internally to ensure forecast accuracy.
Perform Market Analysis – Visit retail stores, comparison shop, in store photos, documentation of existing product, create and assist layout of future proposed P.O.G.’s.
Assist with sample requests, prototype sampling for new products.
Must keep Operations & Quality Departments aware of all retailer compliance requirements.
Profitability
– Guide the retail assortment decisions towards the most profitable assortments for both the retailer and HMS.
Assist with forecasting future sales based on sales meeting feedback, previous sales history.
Product Development – Cross Function Training will be required to become a product expert; Work in conjunction with PD Team to create new product ideas that address opportunities in retailer’s current assortment.
Form a solid understanding of HMS’ product mfg.
processes through cross functional training in various company departments.
Skills Required Bachelor Degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or Related Field 0-3 years servicing B2B Sales preferred Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to follow through and complete outlined objectives and goals Problem solving and negotiating skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel Ability to coordinate and motivate multiple departments.
