Regional Sales and Training Executive
How you’ll have at Paula’s Choice: The Regional Sales and Training Executive (RSTE) drives sales revenue in a multistate territory, including servicing a home market of service doors, by building strong retailer relationships, training and coaching store associates and freelance consultants, side-by side-selling in stores, planning and executing in store events, maintaining and negotiating merchandising standards as well as managing Freelance Sales & Training Consultants to maximize key door strategies to reach daily business goals, promotional activities and launches.
As a Regional Sales and Training Executive, a typical day might include a mix of the following:
• Strategically prepare, meet and exceed sales targets in assigned territory
• Plan, manage and execute Sephora Brand Focus Days Trainings and Nordstrom Stay & Plays
• Plan, manage and execute in-store events and partner with Education & Sales Manager in the field to assist with
high level trainings and events to reach assigned sales goals
• Schedule in store visits for yourself and your FL consultants using the Digital Sephora Scheduling Portal
• Schedule Brand Business Reviews with Sephora Store Directors twice annually
• Partner with Education & Sales Leadership in the planning and execution of Retailer Brand Conference Events (such
as the Sephora Store Director’s Conference)
• Ensure successful implementation of all sales and training support tools in regard to new product launches and daily
in-store visits
• Manage, coach and track your sales and training performance as well as Freelance Sales and Training Consultants
within your region
• Communicate all store level needs to leadership in a timely manner
• Diplomatically address and resolve any challenges to maintain strong relationships and ensure solid brand integrity
• Work with leadership to schedule active, in-store selling days 4-5 days per week around cyclical travel to remote
service doors based on door ranking priority
▪ Build and maintain store management relationships through consistent communication
▪ Conduct regular meetings with leaders in key doors to review trending business, establish in store training and event
strategies to drive retail sales
▪ Work closely with Paula’s Choice Education and Sales leadership to ensure consistent brand messaging
▪ Participate in all webinars, in-person trainings and special education focused events to build expertise in the brand
and category
▪ Present & train on new and existing product knowledge at Sephora and Nordstrom Service Doors
▪ Develop action plans based on weekly review and analysis of sales for service doors in your respective geographic
territory
▪ Represent the brand by upholding and maintaining the highest level of standards to all merchandising guidelines
▪ Communicate out of stock or visual merchandising needs as needed, following all retailer policies and procedures
▪ Establish consistent and prioritized call cycles, to plan store visit strategies in advance
▪ Maintain organization to ensure deadlines are being met, including but not limited to calendars, expense reports,
weekly sales trackers, event recaps and expense reports
▪ Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager
The details:
Location: This role will cover a specific geographic territory of stores
Hours: Full-time role that will require some flexibility in schedule
Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds & stand up to 8 hours on your feet in retail stores
Travel requirements: Up to 80% travel, must have a valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation
What you’ll bring to the table:
• 3+ years of beauty industry experience or equivalently relevant qualified experience
• 2+ years Sephora training and selling experience
• 2+ years managing a multi-state/multi-door territory
• 1+ years Sephora EDU portal/ scheduling experience
• 1+ years of experience in a role with direct reports• Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach, and develop a team
• Knowledge of clinical, cosmetics techniques and procedures, along with business terminology
• Ability to travel up to 80%
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build positive/effective business partnerships
• Superior selling skills with proven ability to set and achieve sales goals
• Effective and engaging training skills that deliver consistent sales results
• Proven ability to build relationships, drive sales and provide outstanding customer service
• Exceptional time management skills
• Ability to work both autonomously as well as with a team
