Responsibilities
In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Manager, providing direct support to patients and work independently in Westwood and may support various Head & Neck Clinic locations remotely including Santa Clarita, Westwood, Santa Monica, Thousand Oaks, and others.
Your major duties include but are not limited to: acting as a liaison for the patients by assisting them in accessing service within the health system, facilitating communication with referring physicians, obtaining authorizations, scheduling surgeries, referring patients to appropriate resources and providing follow-up; providing support to the patient to ensure an excellent patient experience.
Under minimal supervision of the manager, you will independently organize and prioritize tasks, excellent judgment and decision making, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
Experience working in a surgical clinic
Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
Ability to establish and maintain and productive working relationships with faculty, staff, administration and patients from various social, cultural and economic backgrounds.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically, in a cheerful manger, with proper etiquette andprofessionalism
Previous working knowledge of patient related policies and procedures as well as a thoroughunderstanding of the University system and it services and programs.
Ability to use health system computer systems, and utilize the various resources and tools effectively
Ability to obtain authorizations in a timely manner
Ability to schedule surgeries accurately in a timely manner
Ability to work occasional overtime
Ability to have flexibility in work schedules and locations as needed
