Outside Sales Representative – Los Angeles

As an Outside Sales Representative for Paycom, you will be responsible for deal cycles from appointment generation through closing.

This will include contacting prospects, setting appointments, demoing our software solutions, negotiating agreements, and securing new business accounts.

You will be accountable for hitting metrics that will lead to selling the Paycom suite of Human Capital Management technology products and services to clients in an assigned region, with support from our leadership and sales enablement teams.

Responsibilities
Cold call potential clients according to the assigned metrics
Generate and confirm appointments through prospecting, building a consistent pipeline to meet sales goals for new business
Build value-added relationships with prospects within assigned territory and develop new client accounts to increase revenue
Sustain a pipeline of suitable appointments and move prospects through the sales process quickly and efficiently through closing stages
Assist with and attend first implementation meeting for all new clients
Respond to Inside Sales leads of companies with 50 employees or more as assigned
Complete the Sales Representative new hire training while maintaining and/or exceeding assigned metrics
Participate in ongoing weekly team meetings and sales training to continue to enhance product knowledge
Maintain knowledge of Paycom products and services
Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree required
Experience:
0-3 years of experience in a competitive environment with a record of success exceeding goals which may be demonstrated through previous sales work, competitive internships, excelling in collegiate sales competitions
Skills/Abilities:
Achieves/exceeds appointment and Sales Metrics
Ability to work in a structured and fast-paced team sales environment
Ability to analyze the needs of a client and provide strategic business solutions
Solid problem solving and consultative skills required
Product and payroll knowledge is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication
Highly self-motivated and results-oriented
Strong presentation, organization, multitasking, and time management skills
Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
