Junior Sales Executive

Job Summary

côte is seeking a full time junior sales executive with 1-2 years experience, to join our team and help grow our brand in the Los Angeles market. The junior sales executive should be a motivated sales professional with a passion for beauty and for côte’s esteemed ten-toxin-free nail products. The Junior Sales Executive is proven to be self-starting, achievement-oriented salesperson focused on growth while also being known by clients as a natural relationship builder and true business partner. The position is responsible for managing and growing existing client accounts and acquiring new clients in the area. The Junior Sales Executive will report to the corporate team.

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Vigorously maintaining client accounts by regularly checking in with accounts both physically and via phone/email; educating accounts on côte’s current and new products and collections; curating côte product assortments tailored to salons that will utilize products professionally and to boutiques, who will resell côte products; collaborate with accounts to create actionable business strategies resulting in revenue generation for them and côte.
  • Activating growth by adding new accounts; researching new prospects throughout the city; creating a robust roster of leads; educating and selling côte’s products to leads; and converting leads into customers through follow-up phone calls, emails, visits, persuasive and positive communication and collaborative efforts.
  • Managing accounts by having a thorough understanding of côte products and inventories; representing your accounts during corporate meetings with colleagues and on weekly conference calls; managing customer orders and questions; making decisions using available information and resources; creating sales forecasts and monthly sales analysis; recording sales information and prospects; and complying with company reporting and internal administration tasks.
  • Representing côte in a positive light by sharing your passion for beauty and nail products with excitement; promoting côte products and believing in the importance of cleaner safer beauty; exuding an amazing ‘can-do’ attitude around clients and colleagues while placing great importance on customer service, clear communication, adherence to schedules and conveyance of a professional manner.

Other duties:

  • Setting up the sales infrastructure for company.
  • Assist with inventory, merchandising and marketing
  • Engage in cold calling activities
  • Develop strategic territory plan
  • Share successful techniques and practices with peers and foster innovation within the team
  • Implement and support new promotions and new product launches

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1-2 year’s professional experience working in an office environment
  • Must live within LA County. Commuting to Westwood, Los Angeles should not be problematic.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques
  • Ability to communicate clearly, apply best-practice selling skills, and use a consultative approach to learn how to meet a client’s business needs
  • 1-2 years, experience in developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
  • Ability to function independently, manage time and resources effectively, and adjust behaviors to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office suite and internet browsers
  • Organizational and administrative skills to manage sales management tasks such as expense reporting, weekly and monthly sales reporting, and other administrative documents

Strongly preferred experience:

  • Demonstrated success in outside sales role
  • Professional experience in beauty industry

Working Conditions:

  • Travel by car daily to visit current and prospective client locations in person
  • Sales Manager must live within Los Angeles county
  • Work may occur before/after normal business hours
  • Physical activities include driving, lifting products in/out of vehicles, carrying boxes, listening and speaking with clients, demonstrating product use, using computers/tablets and mobile phone
