Independent Outside Sales Rep – Cannabis/Hemp Industry

Viridian Staffing’s (www.viridianstaffing.com) Client, a cutting-edge ancillary business in the cannabis industry with a compelling value proposition and very little competition (at this stage), is seeking experienced, results-oriented, independent sales representatives, with existing industry connections, to represent them in the Los Angeles Area (and beyond). Fearless/effective 1099 “rain makers” seeking additional product/service lines are strongly encouraged to apply.

This is NOT an account management position. However, individuals who excel in this outside role will likely have first dibs on account management opportunities within the company, as they become available. After initial orders are secured, the client will handle all of the account management, freeing you up to secure more clients.

We are seeking highly driven and self-motivated professionals that are accustomed to working with a significant degree of independence. Initiative and results will be recognized and generously rewarded.

Core Requirements

-Proven track-record of success in B2B sales
-High School diploma or GED
-EITHER a Bachelors Degree OR 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience/success.
-Already repping at least one other company in the territory.
-Positive — Outgoing — Organized — Self Motivated — Goal Oriented
-Self-starter with an excellent work ethic and time management skills
-Superior interpersonal skills including excellent oral and written communication
-Have an innate ability to build rapport and develop trust quickly
-Not merely willing but genuinely motivated to make cold-calls to build client base
-Excellent organizational skills
-A professional appearance and winning attitude
-Computer/Internet literate and comfortable using most cloud-based software
-Must be able to work with (and keep track of) multiple customers/prospects simultaneously

Preferred (But not necessarily required)

-Already repping for existing client(s) in the cannabis industry
-3+ years of previous sales experience/success.
-Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial drive
-Experience and comfort using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software
-Have reliable transportation with the ability to cover a 40 mile radius from where you live.
-Ability to travel on average 25%, including the occasional weekend.
– Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Core Duties :

-Relationship Building
-Consultative (Education-Based) Selling
-Brand Evangelist
-Develop opportunities to obtain new customers through pursuing leads, market research, and cold calls, new business creation being the prime objective.
-Solicit New Business & Seek Referrals
-Obtain and pursue qualified leads
-Measurement of sales activity for assigned markets and accounts, with status reports at least every other week.
-Promise to respect no-call lists and anti-spamming laws/best practices (failure to do so will result in the cancellation of our contract).

Note: The preceding duties provide a general overview of this position’s responsibilities.

Optional Duties:

-Assist in the creation and execution of company promotional activities in the territory, including events, advertising, PR activities, and customer presentations.
-Attend events as a representative for Company

Client Provides:
-One-on-one training and support on product line(s).
-Uncapped commissions, based on a pre-determined percentages.
-Company-branded business cards
-Brochures and other marketing materials, as they become available.
-Exclusive territories/niches for top producers.
