Seeking a Head of Sales Engineering to join The One Network at Ericsson team at Playa Vista, CA. The One Network (TON), is a technology acceleration unit designed to innovate, move fast and change the world with 5G for Enterprise! TON is run like a startup with a complete function including R&D, Product Management, Business Development, Sales and Service Delivery. However, it will take advantage of Ericsson as a market leader and everything that Ericsson has to offer! As an initial product offering in this space, we will be addressing how enterprises will work in the wireless office environment, and beyond.
You will
- Serve customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.
- Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential customers.
- Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Establish new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales call schedule.
- Prepare cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional personnel.
- Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
- Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
To be successful in the role you must have
- B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience as a systems/sales/solution engineer for a software company or similar technology
- Knowledge of related applications, relational database, web and cloud technology
- Basic programming experience in HTML and other web-based technologies
- Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments
