Head of Sales

The Role  

Company is looking for a Head of Sales to accelerate our growth. You will be responsible for owning our go to market strategy in new and existing markets, sourcing distributors and leading relationships with on-premise and retail partners, overseeing all planning, management and execution. We are looking for someone with 5-10+ years of experience in either wine & spirits or natural food sales (both is a plus) and is seasoned in business development and relationship management. 

You love to meet people and bring in a wide variety of relationships to Company. You are a connector and salesperson at heart, and love the thrill of a win as much as you do building out a team. Most of all, you have a startup mindset and bring in experience but are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to make the sale. This role will report into the COO and is ideally based out of LA, but is also optionally remote. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategy and build out a pipeline of distributor relationships in new markets, providing planning support and managing opportunities from concept to pilot to rollout 
  • Manage all existing accounts and cultivate relationships with key buyers 
  • Source potential on-premise and retail partners and negotiate agreements
  • Interface with finance team and executive team to set sales targets and goals in line with business objectives and manage the Sales PnL 
  • Coordinate with marketing team to strategize Company account roadmap in key markets, develop sales collateral and orchestrate plan for deployment   
  • Build out and manage regional sales teams and set quarterly/annual sales targets 

Requirements

  • Skilled in managing a sales team as well as executing on sales strategy 
  • Extensive sales experience (5-10 years) in food and beverage industry and fluency in both spirits and natural food distribution 
  • Numbers driven and well-versed in accounting and budget planning 
  • Excellent communication and management skills
