Fire Alarm Account Executive and Service Sales Rep (2) positions (Los Angeles)
FFS Tech is a progressive alarm company servicing Southern California. We are seeking (2) dynamic, highly motivated individual interested in high financial rewards and long-term career growth in sales. Account Executive and Service Sales positions are available in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Sales Representatives must be highly motivated and self-starter who can work independently without supervision. Must have Previous and successful Service Sales experience in the Fire Alarm industry and low voltage industry. (Minimum 3 years) Candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, be proficient in computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Access. Must be professionally presentable, dependable and have a positive optimistic attitude towards work.

Account Executive Position Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and identify sales opportunities, prepare proposals, track and close sales!
  • Prepare and submit proposals for Bid work and direct end-user sales.
  • Prepare a sales plan, maintain daily log on sales call activity and proposal offers made.
  • Establish relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors, architects and property management companies.
  • Calling on new and existing commercial business customers to sell fire alarm services mandated by State law. (Monitoring, Testing & Inspection, Maintenance of alarm systems) and other low voltage systems such as Burglar Alarm, CCTV, Audio distribution, card access.
  • Survey building systems, consult with building engineers and property managers and make service recommendations to ensure trouble free system performance and compliance with maintenance and testing requirements.
  • Candidate must be able to read blueprints and visually identify system components of alarm systems. Perform “Take-offs” on customer provided Drawings.
  • Perform account maintenance to maintain and strengthen relationships, provide customer status reports, follow up on projects sold, attend sales meetings, resolve collection problems, interface with commercial property managers and building engineers, review reports and support internal staff requests for information.
  • Submit all required sales reports, expenses, competitive activity and correspondence in an accurate and timely matter.

Promptly respond to customer needs in a professional and enthusiastic manner.

  • Coordinate scheduling of projects sold with office coordinator and customer to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Updates job knowledge by tracking emerging trends in contracts; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree (business or engineering preferred)
  • MUST have Sales experience with at least 5 years experience with fire alarm/life safety/security products and services.
  • Must be organized, able to work without constant supervision, able to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience pricing and bidding projects.
  • Ability to contribute and operate in a team environment and coordinate with other departments.
  • Experience performing fire safety installations or service is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of fire codes and services offered preferred.
  • NICET certification in Fire Alarm is helpful.
  • Reliable transportation is required.

Service Sales Position Responsibilities:

  • Main responsibility will be to help grow service department by establishing new service accounts for Fire Alarm commercial industry in order to meet fiscal requirements.
  • Calling on new and existing commercial business customers to sell Fire Alarm services mandated by State law. (Monitoring, Testing & Inspection, Maintenance of alarm systems, system upgrades, etc.)
  • Prospect and identify direct end user sales opportunities, prepare service proposals, track and close sales.
  • Survey building alarm systems, consult with building engineers and property managers and make service recommendations to ensure trouble free system performance and compliance with maintenance and testing requirements.
  • Candidate must be able to read blueprints and visually identify system components of alarm systems.
