Blavity, Inc. is continuously looking for new team members to help us continue to scale, cultivate our community, and advance our strategic direction.Job Summary: Blavity Inc. is looking for a Coordinator, Group Ticket Sales to establish and execute a group ticket sales strategy for our annual AfroTech Conference. The Coordinator, Group Ticket Sales position is responsible for conducting research, developing lead lists, and selling and servicing new group sales accounts to achieve ticketing revenue goals. This (1099) contract position will report directly to the Sr. Product Marketing Manager, AfroTech. ResponsibilitiesEstablish and execute a strategy to sell AfroTech group ticket bundles to businesses, schools, and other organizationsResearch, prospect, and establish leads through daily phone calls, emails, and social networksMeet or exceed established group sales revenue goals, as determined by the VP, AfroTechDeliver a high level of customer service to new and existing clientsBe the primary point of contact for group ticket clientsTrack communications and correspondence with clients using a ticketing systemIdentify a sales strategy for the 2022 conference to grow ticketing revenueQualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceExperience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in live and/or digital events and group ticket sales, with a successful track record of achieving sales goalsTechnologies: Fluent in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Asana and/or comparable project management suite, Salesforce and/or comparable sales suite, social mediaStrong understanding of digital and/or live eventsA positive commitment to providing exceptional customer service to all AfroTech group ticket sales clientsStrong communication skills (both verbal and written), and exceptional interpersonal skillsExcellent organization skills and attention to detailDemonstrated dedication, with the ability to lead projects from origin through executionAbility to learn, contribute, and flourish in a fast-growing, dynamic environmentSelf-starter and entrepreneurial spirit, with a hands-on approach towards businessA healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black cultureDetails: This is a (1099) Contract position averaging 15-20 hours per week, and may require attendance to ad hoc meetings out of our DTLA office and our digital and/or in-person events.
