Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an energetic team focused Business Development, Sales Engineer in Germantown, MD, Seattle, WA, Renton, WA, Everett, WA, Auburn, WA, Bellevue, WA, Hazelwood, MO, North Charleston, SC, Huntington Beach, CA, Seal Beach, CA, Long Beach, CA, El Segundo, CA, Mesa, AZ, Oklahoma City, OK, Huntsville, AL, Plano, TX, San Antonio, TX, Herndon, VA, Ridley Park, PA, or Chicago, IL.
The position provides an opportunity to work with an experienced, interdisciplinary team to meet challenging requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops and conducts the evaluation and implementation of new initiatives and business opportunities for the Company under direction of the business development manager, or site leader
- Develop and execute business cases, capture plans, price-to-win quotes and proposals.
Requires knowledge of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) customers (government and contractors), customer budgets, competition and shaping to improve Probability of Win (Pwin).
- Experience in architecting SIGINT systems.
- Become familiar with Digital Receiver Technology (DRT) products, capabilities, applications.
- Conducts market analysis, and competitive activity
- Develops relationships with key customers.
Establish new customers by identifying programs.
Leverages company resources to support customer commitments, gain a competitive advantage and foster business growth by using a comprehensive understanding (breadth and depth) of multiple DRT products and services.
- Develops pipeline opportunities with customer program and technical teams
- Assists in development and capturing of customer requirements
- Assists in future technology roadmaps
- Will play an integral role in Proposal and Quote preparation and submission activity in response to Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ) and White Paper requests.
- in strategic alliances and other external business relationships
- Experience developing and delivering precise and succinct senior-level briefings for customers, leadership and colleagues.
- Attend business meetings and trade shows as requested
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Planning and organization, project management, and time management skills
- Ability to work on complex problems
- Experience in working with prime contractors in a competitive market
- Knowledge of Company products, markets and technology
- Experience running new business campaigns
- Proven track record.
Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with customers.
Proven ability developing new business and experienced capture management.

- Experience working directly with Defense Community, Government Agencies and DoD/Government personnel, suppliers and key prime contractors
- Experience in RF systems for SIGINT, Electronic Warfare, Information Operations or Cyber
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred, in engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Ability to work at Germantown, MD is preferred
Education: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience, 18 years’ related work experience, etc.).
