This position is a senior sales rep in the Domestic Next Generation Product Support Business Development Team.

You will be responsible for driving digital solutions and content into the United States Government Services (USGS) business plan.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and assembles documentation of data to support management reviews.
  • Supports the business negotiation process to help secure customer and vendor commitments.
  • Obtains commitment and approval from internal stakeholders to support changes during the negotiation process.
  • Utilizes detailed understanding of both customer and Boeing needs and resources to recommend areas of alignment and integration.
  • Leads assigned sales and campaign activities by contributing to the development of strategies and tactics with minimal guidance.
  • Maintains and reports metrics related to campaign status.
  • Leverages company resources to support customer commitments, gain a competitive advantage, and foster business growth by developing a detailed understanding of specific Boeing products and services, process and operations, and resources.
  • Supports the integration of knowledge into business strategies and solutions.
  • Researches, reviews and analyzes information about competitors’ products and services to develop a detailed understanding of specific competitor activities and their impact on market positioning to improve our competitive position.
  • Captures and documents specific campaign information related to customer business needs, culture, requirements, and economic and environmental influences by researching available resources, web-sites and publications.
  • Networks with both internal and external resources, when applicable.
  • Assists in the interface with the customer and internal Boeing resources to keep both apprised of key issues and concerns.
  • Leads and / or assists in the development of customer solutions by performing analysis of customer pain points, available resources and the application of Boeing expertise and capabilities.
  • Formulates requirements for both Boeing and Industry products and knowledge into recommendations to meet customer needs.
  • Advances customer relationships by supporting customer meetings and preparation of presentation materials.
  • Analyzes business alternatives to recognize customer needs in relation to the strategic direction of internal Boeing programs.
  • Prepares and supports the development of proposals by developing themes and discriminators and reviewing the statement of work, cost estimates, executive summary and pricing to ensure customer requirements are met and to improve our competitive position.
  • Monitors proposal status to ensure timely responses.

    Reviews and contributes to the final draft materials.

  • Coordinates applicable support in the development of strategy and tactics using in-depth knowledge of customer needs, Boeing products and services and competitive environment.
  • Gathers and analyzes relevant information (e.g., political environment and competitive assessment) from internal and external sources to support strategy development and alignment across the Boeing enterprise.

This position allows telecommuting.

The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.

Security Clearance for which the U.S.

Government requires U.S.

Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S.

Secret Clearance Post

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • Experience in producing and presenting presentations at the Executive level
  • Experience working with and developing a Long Range Business Plan (LRBP)
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business or technical field
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with military and non-military customers
  • Experience in Manufacturing processes and technology
  • Knowledge and experience of technologies like Internet of Things (IoT), digital thread and digital twin, and Model Based Engineering
  • Experience briefing customers, supporting technical responses, and negotiations
  • Experience writing proposals, Request For Information (RFIs) and/or Request For Proposal (RFPs)
  • Experience contributing to new technology strategy and implementing solutions across different organizations/divisions

Education: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g.

Bachelor) and/or typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

PhD +9 years’ related work experience, Master +12 years’ related work experience, 18 years’ related work experience, etc.).
