As the Sales Executive API you will be responsible for the sale of the Benevity API into multiple markets that encompass consumer engagement.
This includes scoping potential partnerships and negotiating contracts, engaging and developing deep relationships with external parties, and supporting the deployment and ongoing growth of these partnerships across a cross-functional team within Benevity.
The position will require managing external relationships, being comfortable dealing with uncertainty in a fast-paced environment, and able to put together a creative vision to support a prospect’s engagement strategy.
What you will do:Work closely with Product, Client Services, and Sales teams to identify and engage potential Partners (new and existing clients) who can leverage our platform for good!As a trusted advisor you will suggest new products and solutions to existing customersCollaborate with our Sales professionals and Subject Matter Experts to assist with upsell, cross sells and renewalsKeep well-informed of available products and solutions, technological and process changes, etc.
and make recommendations to clientsOwn Partner relationship end-to-end, from initial scoping, to negotiations, and launchLead cross-functional team in deployment of partnerships, including legal, finance, product, client services, etc.Must know or be able to quickly develop deep relationshipsMust be able to storytell and simplify complex API concepts to CSR and tech executives.Ability to network and educate all key decision makers within the organization (e.G.
CTO, CMO, CSO, as well as boots on the ground tacticians)Should be able to communicate internally to give client feedback to help further product design.Conduct in-person meetings and conference calls with decision makers and buyers; attend conferences and industry events as appropriate.
What you bringFive to seven years of local (put State Name here, i.E.
Texas, Washington) experience in a sales function with increasing responsibilities.
Pre-existing local relationships with large corporations are essential and we will consider all relevant industries and roles including but not limited to – technology sales, non-profit fundraising, business development, and account management.
If sales only experience, then non-profit volunteer or board work a plus (but not mandatory)Strong experience in active solicitation and sales process management of corporations and foundations.
Corresponding success of negotiating and closing contractual deals to exceed quota (consistent Presidents’ Club Achievement a bonus).
Consciously create and tailor a win strategy to each conversation – no two deals are the same.Effective and inspiring storyteller and presenter, with the ability to connect technology with longer term vision and goals.
This includes excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to create, edit and present collateral material.Ability to manage a pipeline of 20+ opportunities at any given time that represent the highest priority opportunities for each market assigned.
