Area Sales Agent-4

OverviewThe Area Sales Agent is responsible for successfully executing the sales process and regularly engages sales building activities that drive the overall revenue of the Agency.

This role will require Area Sales Agent to take phone calls (up to 60-70 a day) and resolving all inquiries that come in while working in a dedicated area of a local store.

The role may also require the ASA to work in another sales location within the supported territory.

They will be trained on how to process quality customer applications, endorsements, payments, and related customer inquiries.

The ASA may also participate in marketing activities outside of the location in support of local efforts to bring the Acceptance brand to the community.

The ASA will be expected to transfer to an open RSA role upon successful completion of the training program.ResponsibilitiesAssess the customer needs and advise clients on insurance coverage and personal protection options following Acceptance’s G.U.E.S.T.

standardsProvide quality quotations, pricing, and required information to new prospects and completes the sales process for each customer per company policy and procedureMaintain strong knowledge of all products, pricing, and policy features available for saleComplete and maintain training for all products offered by Acceptance (i.e.

auto, roadside, hospital indemnity, motorcycle, commercial and home/renters, etc.) and other insurance companies for which they are appointed,Prepare quotations on customer change requests to their current policiesReceive and respond to all customer inquiries and complaints.

Request any missing or required information from customers and follow up for that informationMaintain knowledge of industry competitors and provide critical market feedback to leadership regarding local competition and service needsConduct daily customer payment reminder callsFollow-up routinely with customers on all open or unresolved issues including calling lapsed policy and policy renewal customersAnswer the telephone in a prompt, professional and courteous mannerTake / receive customer payments in office and over the phoneReport any and all conditions affecting customer satisfactionMaintain appropriate records including, but not limited to; all time worked, reporting of sales activities, other reporting as requiredScan and send required documents dailyMastery in all areas of an AgentFill in at other locations while Agents are on PTO or open positionsJob RequirementsExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills needed for working with our customersAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.

Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questionsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with situations where limited standardization existsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Ability to compute basic percentagesAbility to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructionsSkill and ability to use and operate a keyboard, computer, fax machine, scanner and copier.Must have a valid driver’s licenseMust be able to provide proof of automobile insuranceMust be able to secure a Personal and Casualty Lines insurance license within 60 days of hire date (Bonus offered for P&C licensed individuals as well as bilingual (English/Spanish) individualsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentExperience Level1-2 years related experience and/or training.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and AS-400/Mocha is preferred.Experience LevelSix months or more of prior experience in a sales related field, requiredLanguage SkillsAbility to fluently speak, read and write English.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
