Account Executive – Fintech

Our tools are used by Trim, Future Fuel, Origin, Chipper, and many other companies looking to offer student loan solutions to their customers. Were riding two tailwinds: newly tax-free student loan contributions for employers and 46 million borrowers resuming payments at the same time in September – a once in a lifetime financial services event. Background Working directly with the CEO, this is an opportunity to execute on the ground floor with a seasoned team. We are experiencing rapid growth and have just raised a round of funding from a Tier 1 Silicon Valley VC. This role will have immediate exposure to the sales and closing process and will have direct access to Product, Engineering and internal leadership. This role is primarily focused on targeting potential partners in fintech. Responsibilities Own and drive the full sales cycle for the Payitoff API – from prospect to negotiations and deal execution for fintechs with annual contract values ranging from $25k – $500k. Provide timely, accurate forecasts and clear visibility on sales and revenue performance by actively managing your pipeline of opportunities and weekly sales forecasts. Create and maintain target partner lists to obtain high quality prospect data Handling incoming leads from various lead generation channels Contacting prospects and new leads using email, LinkedIn, phone, and other methods Manage activity in CRM and maintain data quality Attend sales meetings, trade shows and industry conferences Light travel required Requirements Experience engaging technical and business leadership at mid-stage startups and workplace benefits providers in financial services. Preference for backgrounds selling APIs or user-permissioned data and services Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales within a startup environment. Bachelor’s degree/college education preferred, but not required An aptitude for digesting and effectively communicating technical concepts across audiences of varying technical ability.
