The Company  

Based in Los Angeles, 3DEO’s breakthrough Intelligent Layering® technology unlocks high volume metal 3D printing by drastically reducing final part cost. Despite the low cost, our parts meet the high industry benchmark MPIF Standard 35 while  

still achieving tight tolerances and an industry-leading surface finish. Intelligent Layering® opens metal 3D printing to most of the industries that can’t afford today’s expensive options. Leveraging its unique technology as a parts supplier, 3DEO sells  

high-volume, high-value metal parts to manufacturers with a variety of applications across a wide range of industries. The company is focused on the industries of aerospace, medical, and defense. 3DEO currently has over 100 employees and has expanded to a new manufacturing facility in Los Angeles. 

The Position: Account Executive 

Reporting to: Vice President of Sales 

Summary:

The Account Executive will be responsible for cultivating, developing, and owning strategic relationships with highly valuable customers. We are only interested in a Top 1% sales professional that can point to a record of consistently smashing sales quotas. The perfect balance of polish combined with a sales killer instinct. The wealth creation  

opportunity for this position is significant and uncapped—huge sales equal huge commissions. There is additional wealth creation through participation in our incentive options program for this rapidly growing company. 

The Account Executive will take the qualified leads provided to them and ensure they convert to long-term customers for the company. Metal 3D Printing is an exciting, technologically advanced industry and the candidate will be expected to be fluent not only in 3DEO’s technology but also able to understand the issues confronting our customers as well as their industry and the economy at large. 

Qualifications & Experience  

Specifically, the Account Executive will: 

  • Cultivate, develop, and own strategic accounts with world-class customer service and communication skills 
  • Training in and experience with formal sales methodologies (Challenger, MEDDIC, NEAT, etc.)
  • Be responsible for meeting and exceeding all agreed upon sales quotas and targets 
  • Convert qualified leads into highly profitable and mutually beneficial long-term partnerships  
  • Manage key customer relationships, lead the closing of strategic opportunities, and drive account penetration to become a long-term strategic partner 
  • Master of follow-through and execution; will delight customers with detailed notes of conversations and follow through on all agreed-upon deliverables  
  • Execute on established sales processes to ensure high productivity and consistent results 
  • Thrive in a data- and technology-driven approach to sales execution where KPIs are publicly tracked and measured 
  • Travel expectations are 30-50% for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships (once travel is permissible)

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree is required; a graduate degree is a plus
  • 5+ years of technical sales and account executive experience, selling into enterprises and larger SMB companies
  • Demonstrable and verifiable track record of sales excellence and exceeding quota 
  • 5+ years of experience working with multiple buyers and stakeholders
  • Proven client relationship skills including understanding a customer’s strategic objectives and both short- and long-term business requirements 
  • Experience in researching an industry, company, and prospect to understand specific pain points and relate them to a unique value proposition
  • Demonstrate an understanding complex technical concepts 
  • Ability to articulate the value proposition and unique differentiators
