Your Talent & Gallo | A Perfect PairingSUMMARY Under minimal supervision, the merchandiser has a set geographic territory with assigned stores they will service and merchandise regularly in order to facilitate sales of Gallo products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Checks Gallo inventory and restocks shelves.
• Services Gallo brands so that each product location in a store is fully stocked and presentable to the consumer.
• Maintains positive brand image through dusting and rotation.
• Builds display point-of-sale in all areas of the store Performs in-store resets.
• Partners with Sales Representatives/Managers to coordinate delivery and merchandising schedule.
• Builds effective relationships with store personnel to assure superior customer satisfaction.
• Carries out verbal instructions from appropriate staff.
• Maintains a timely and accurate merchandising call schedule.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Maintains accurate reports.
• Projects a professional appearance while being friendly and helpful.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• Required to be at least 18 years of age.
• 1 year of work experience.
• Live with-in or in close proximity of assigned territory.
• Must have car or personal transportation to access multi-store locations within assigned shift.
• Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Required to lift and move 45-57 pound cases of product regularly.
• Good communication skills.
• Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
• 2 years of direct merchandising experience.
• Skilled in merchandising techniques.
• Experience working for a grocery store.
• Experience working independently in the field.
• Knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry.
• Available to work weekends for special functions/events.
