Ideal Candidate Roles & Responsibilities: -Maintain store standards by assisting with stocking, merchandising and recovering the store to maintain cleanliness; and completing various operational projects/tasks -Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for alises -Set and maintain the shelves accordingly -Install and maintain on shelf and off-shelf (back stock) -Organizing Product displays -Cleaning off dusty/dirty products as needed -Performs any other duties as directed by management -Receiving -Receive product from vendors, ensuring physical count matches purchase order/invoice, and resolve discrepancies when they do not match -Merchandise product on the sales floor and in the warehouse to standards -Conduct cycle counts to identify loss and improve in-stock position -Manage waste and spoilage through strict compliance with ‘FIFO’ practices (First In, First Out) Ideal Candidate will have: -Previous merchandising experience preferred -Strong communication skills needed to interact with store management and consumers -Must be able to bend, pull and lift heavy bags or products consistently throughout the course of a work day -Must be able to climb ladders, use a pallet jack, forklift experience (preferred) -Responsible, reliable and dependable work habits -Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner About Ace Building Materials We are one of the oldest building materials and hardware supply store in the the San Fernando Valley.
