Sous Chef (Downtown)

Bottega Louie Restaurant & Patisserie debuted in DTLA in 2009 and has since gained a legendary reputation as a world class patisserie and luxury Italian restaurant. We recently opened our second location in West Hollywood and have opportunities for hospitality professionals to join our team.

We are looking for Sous Chefs that embody the following:

  • A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of managers while leading a staff of 75+ employees
  • A genuine passion for providing the highest quality of goods and hospitality to our guests
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food service regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Maintain a professional appearance and the ability to adhere to Bottega Louie standards
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • The availability to work 10 – 12 hours per day, including late nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Effectively manage the kitchen staff, provide supportive leadership and motivation throughout food service
  • Teach proper cooking techniques and emphasize the importance of recipe consistency to maintain the quality of each dish per Bottega Louie standards
  • Train and coach kitchen staff to adhere to restaurant procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
  • Execute recipes daily to reinforce your own recipe knowledge and technical skill set
  • Keep the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
  • Communicate daily with the Executive Chef regarding any assistance with kitchen support or any BOH needs
  • Demonstrate leadership through job expertise, initiative, enthusiasm and have exceptional communication skills
  • Understand and embody the Bottega Louie lifestyle, mission and brand

Qualified Sous Chefs must be detail-oriented, have a team-based mentality and superb multitasking skills. Three years’ experience is a plus.
