Calling all passionate pastry chefs and baker extraordinaires! Come join Long Hospitality! We are a young and hungry company looking to take the Asian culinary world by storm!

We have a successful, modern-Korean restaurant in LA’s Ktown, and are on the cusp of opening our second concept – a Hong Kong style diner serving up Chinese comfort food inspired by bustling Taiwanese night markets, Shanghai street stalls, and Hong Kong tea rooms.

And let me tell you, this is just the beginning! We are seeking Pastry Chefs for both junior and senior roles at our new concept opening in May.

  • Get on the ground floor for an exciting new casual food concept opening, that has the potential to expand fast
  • Flexible hours for morning and night shifts, as well as the opportunity to work on projects at either of Long Hospitality’s concept locations

  • Gain a full working knowledge of all menu items, recipes, prep lists, and setup for your station
  • Gain an understanding of the baking equipment, how it operates, and how to maintain them

Shortlist of things you’ll be handling:

  • Prepping, mixing, shaping, baking, and finishing pastries, breads, and other types of baked goods
  • Upholding food quality and cleanliness standard at your station and in the kitchen
  • Participating in the preparation and development of new menu items .
  • Honing your existing skills while learning new techniques and building your skill set.
  • Working collaboratively with both the BOH staff and FOH staff.
  • Perform station opening, closing and side work duties for each shift and always check out with the manager on duty 

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of baking or pastry experience (compensation and title based on experience)
  • Knowledge of yeasted doughs, preferments and lamination.
  • Ability to work alone and multi-task 
  • General food safety & sanitation knowledge.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and high energy, entrepreneurial environment
  • Exceptional work ethic and dedication
  • Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly, constantly improve and adapt
