Pastry Chef for The Baker’s Table in Santa Ynez, CA

Established in 2012, The Baker’s Table is an artisan bakery in Santa Ynez that uses quality ingredients to produce the finest products. They are dedicated to combining organic, local and fair trade ingredients to honor the earth and the hands that cultivate it.

At home in the Santa Ynez Valley since 1998, Owner Amy Dixon keeps answering her driving call to pursue excellence through baking. The Baker’s Table features an extensive handmade bread program as their back bone, with café offerings highlighting the variety. Their pastry program features a selection of daily croissants, cookies, pies and scones, among other seasonal offerings.

While French recipes highlight the technical prowess of The Baker’s Table, it is the imaginative exploration of turning an everyday treat into an unforgettable delectable.

The Baker’s Table is looking for a highly skilled and passionate pastry chef who is self-directed, motivated, and organized to join the team. The Pastry Chef will collaborate with the owner on the creative process, while mentoring their longtime staff. This is a hand-on role that is actively running the pastry production side of croissants, galettes, pies, tarts, scones, breakfast pastries, celebration cakes and seasonal items. This role would be responsible for ordering, inventory, and scheduling for the Pastry team. Amazing opportunity to work with an owner who takes care of her people.

Compensation includes base salary in the $75-100k range. There is a housing option, medical reimbursement, PTO and a 401k.
