Adecco is now hiring for a Prep Cook Food Service worker at Herman Miller.
This is a long-term and temp-to-hire position.
As a member of the Herman Miller Food Service team, you’ll be responsible for assisting culinary staff with cleaning, stocking, dishwashing, and maintenance activities.
The assistance focuses on the team goal of providing employees, guest, and visitors an experience where food, service, cleanliness, and attractive surroundings are of exceptional quality.
Responsibilities for this Cook-Food Service position include: Assists culinary staff with food preparation following Herman Miller’s standard of excellence.
Assists with cleaning kitchen and food preparation areas a required.
Assists with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
Assists with the maintenance of kitchen floor including sweeping and mopping to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
Clean dishes, pots and pans, and maintain work area for dishwasher, sink and other equipment in a manner consistent with exceptional quality standards.
Complies with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
Removes trash and places it into designated containers.
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives Skills required: Ability to deliver service standards on a consistent basis.
Ability to lift service-ware or supplies regularly up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work independently under limited supervision Ability to work cooperatively as a team member, and with members of other teams, in a fast paced environment.
Ability to bend, twist and stand for periods of up to 10 hours.
Education/Experience: One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency Two years’ experience in a restaurant environment or commercial kitchen experience This particular client is requiring that all new hires show proof of vaccination.
