Lead Bartender

We are looking for a Bar Lead here at kodo.
Award winning architecture / Michelin Guide selected restaurant with in the first year of establishment.

Required:
two+ years in bartending/mixology experience / with high volume service.
1+ years in lead bartending or management 
sake knowledge 

Key Responsibilities:
Fine dining standards of service and knowledge
Ensure tables and floors are set and ready for service.
Maintain thorough working knowledge of menus and be able to articulate to guests in an engaged and thoughtful manner.
Check drinks and dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature
Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning;
Transfer important information between the kitchen and front of staff i.e. guest concerns or requests, 86’s;

Bar Lead Expectatinos:

  • Inventing specialty drinks
  • Maintaining relationships with members of the craft liquor community, such as distributors and brewers
  • Commuincate inventory lists to Management (wines, sake, and spirits, produce, etc) 
  • Scouting popular drink trends within the community
  • Setting drink pricing
  • Communicating menu changes and additions to bar management and ownership
  • Integrating new menus
  • Making specialty mix-ins, such as simple syrups
  • Negotiating price with distributors
  • Creating systems for the everyday operation of the bar, such as checklists
  • Training other bartenders

Support other tasks, as needed.

Qualifications:
Minimum of two year working behind the bar as a barlead or equiviliant 
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
ServSafe Certified
