In-Restaurant Catering Coordinator (BTB) – 597 – East Montauk Hwy – Lindenhurst, NY (Lindenhurst, NY)

Title: In Restaurant Catering Coordinator Reports To: General Manager, dotted line to CSS FLSA: Non-Exempt Supervises: None Summary / Objective: Organize, prepare, package, deliver, set-up and serve Boston Market catering for an individual restaurant.

Conduct catering sales activities including telesales, canvassing, local store marketing activities, and attending trade area community events for an individual restaurant.

Operational Execution: Organize and plan daily catering orders Produce food for Catering orders.

May require actual preparation of food items and partnering with team members and managers to assure food is prepared timely and correctly.

Transport & set up Catering orders for clients as needed Effectively route drivers for delivery orders in assigned restaurant as needed Effectively deploy 3rd party delivery services such as Door Dash to staff deliveries as needed Achieve and maintain a catering execution rate of 99.5% or above at all times.

Maintain delivery equipment/make recommendations to Area Manager for repairs/replacements.

Sales Building: Make daily follow up calls on all orders to thank the guest for choosing Boston Market, make sure everything went well, and ask if we can serve them again.

Canvass for new business in trade area to generate catering sales Contact new and lapsed catering customers via phone or email to solicit for new catering orders Utilize local store marketing tactics to increase awareness of the catering program Attend all large and full service orders for the restaurant Attend appropriate trade area community events to increase awareness of the catering program Partner with the restaurant’s Catering Sales Specialist to follow-up on “warm leads” in the trade area Track catering sales leads in the CRM database Restaurant Operations: Work in a team member function within a restaurant as needed and directed by the restaurant’s general manager or area manager Essential Behaviors Utilizes tools and resources to effectively execute all components of their job.

Communicate regularly with field partners, AM(s) and DO regarding staffing, preparation for large orders, and any other items they should be made aware of.

Work Environment Work begins and ends in home environment; travel throughout the day to restaurants and to guest delivery sites as well as canvassing businesses in high and mid volume trade areas is required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a variable hour position, hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m.

with some weekend driver assignment or delivery coverage needed; and some overtime may be required.

In Q4 more additional hours may be mandatory.

Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

1 years of restaurant experience and/or food delivery experience.

1-3 years of experience interacting and creating relationships with internal and external customers of all levels and skill sets.

Learns computer functions related to order placing & viewing platforms as well as customer database information entry.

Preferred Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

1 years of sales experience.

3 years of restaurant and/or food delivery experience.
