Head Chef Japanese Restaurant
Trend-setting Japanese Restaurant in the Caribbean requires a Head Chef to oversee entire culinary operations and production of upscale Japanese cuisine, sushi, robata and omakase.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on high-energy professional Chef with excellent classic and modern Japanese cuisine expertise, creativity, proven leadership capabilities, management skills and passion for quality and excellence.
Mandatory Requirements:
– Minimum 5 years as Head Chef in upscale trend-setting Japanese Restaurant
– Must be experienced in classical and modern Japanese cuisine including sushi, robata and omakase preparation and plating techniques
– Ability to mentor, train and lead a multi-cultural kitchen team
– HACCP experience with solid sanitation and sustainability practices
– Product knowledge, sourcing, purchasing and inventory controls
– Expertise in quality and food cost controls
– Ability to mentor, train and lead a multi-cultural kitchen team
– Must be fluent in English
Compensation: This position offers USD $85,000 – $90,000 net or negotiable based on experience plus bonus incentive, $2,500 monthly housing allowance, annual vacation and benefits package.
