A 50,000 ft venue in the Arts District featuring arcade and VR games, and so much more! We are an entertainment venue where people come to play. Our dishes include the classics such as burgers, made from scratch pizza, and various options for catered private events. This position is eligible to receive tips from special event parties. Open availability desired.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Willingness to accept the most effective role;
- Food preparation assistance by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding vegetables and fruits; cleaning, cutting poultry and seafood;
- Prepares all foods according to recipes, tasting and adjusting flavor, controls recipes by weighing and measuring designated ingredients;
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by cleaning work areas, equipment and utensils; segregating and removing garbage; hosing garbage containers; following sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations;
- Keeps supplies and foodstuffs ready by inventorying stock, requisitioning supplies and foodstuffs, verifying receipt, and storage of food supply;
- Partner with banquet captain during special events to ensure dishes arrive out on time;
- May act as expo and monitor ticket times to ensure quick service to guests;
- Use cookware appliances such as oven and fryer to cook foods to temperature;
- Safely and quickly runs items through the dishwasher as needed;
- May run food to guests’ table as needed;
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- The position is based in Los Angeles
- 6 months of experience in food preparation, Willing to train those with limited experience;
- Works collaboratively to achieve team goals;
- Dedicated to exceeding quality standards and providing products and services of the highest caliber, excellent multi-tasking skills;
- Thorough understanding of sanitation-related issues. Takes all precautions and preventative measures necessary to ensure a clean food preparation environment;
- Education: High school diploma required or equivalent;
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Requires regular and predictable attendance;
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check prior to employment;
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to lift up to 30 lbs;
- Continually required to stand for long period of time;
- Continually required to walk, bend and stoop;
- Continually requires working taste buds, ability to smell, feel with fingers and visually inspect, including close and distance vision;
- Continually requires the ability to use arms, hands and manipulate fingers to reach, stir, measure, pour, cut, chop, dice, decorate, etc.
