Since 1990 the Front St. family of companies has been a leader in mental health support services in Santa Cruz and Monterey County. We are proud to be an integral part of a system that provides housing and mental health services for over 300 consumers. This position will be located at our adult residential care facility in Monterey County. Our facility specializes in providing services to adults with mental health disabilities while promoting healthy living and wellness in a spectacular setting. This is a Full-Time position with medical, dental, vision and 401k benefits offerings. On-Call and Part-Time opportunities are also available. A $500 signing bonus is provided to all full-time hires who complete their 90 day introductory period.
Responsibilities:
-The Cook assists in preparing and cleaning-up all food served at the facility.
-Accommodates special needs, as ordered by physician.
-Implement principles of good nutrition, food preparation, food storage, food service and menu planning as defined by applicable regulations.
Job Requirements:
Desired Qualifications:
-High School diploma or equivalency.
-Knowledge of method, practices, tools and materials used in food preparation for large numbers of people.
-Full range of physical mobility and ability to lift 25 lbs.
-Ability to exercise judgment, discretion, sensitivity, confidentiality and patience in dealing with residents and the general public.
