POSITION SUMMARY: The Enterprise Investigation Analyst is responsible for the day to day support of the Kemper Enterprise Investigation Unit developing and delivering reports (scheduled/ad hoc) to support confidential risk
– based investigations and case management activities.
Investigations requiring analyst’s support are allegations of internal or external misconduct including, but not limited to, fraud, theft, defalcation, waste, abuse, assets, brand, reputation, misappropriation/misuse of company or other entity assets and other financial and non-financial misconduct.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Director, Enterprise Investigations Unit (EIU) with the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive enterprise investigations which includes managing the investigation processes and procedures Conduct basic investigations and document cases within investigation monitoring platforms Act as a resource to Kemper personnel for questions and information related to EIU investigations to provide actionable insights, guidance, and expertise Responsible for conducting research into electronic or paper records and transactions for the purpose of identifying potentially fraudulent activity Identifies and detects suspicious activity by interpreting large, complex, sensitive data using available company systems and methodologies Collaborate with appropriate Kemper business divisions and departments on ways to set appropriate controls, internal alerts and to mitigate risk and to process investigations Promptly respond to messages that come into the Kemper hotline or directly to the EIU staff by connecting with the appropriate business unit to take further actions preventing loss Triage all investigation inquiries ensuring that they are routed to the appropriate department and oversee the work-flow ensuring timely and accurate processing Reports as required by law or regulation to various law enforcement and other government entities.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Accounting, Human Resources, Insurance Studies, Computer-Science or equivalent experience required Minimum 2 years experience supporting and/or conducting investigations in the public or private sector is required (financial services or insurance company preferred) Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
Advanced written and oral communication skills are required Advanced analytical, data analysis and problem-solving skills are required.
Experience with ACL, SQL, SPSS, Tableau, and or other statistical analysis or data visualization tools Demonstrated knowledge of financial crime investigation principles and techniques.
Occasional Travel required REQUIRED JOB SKILLS: Strong oral and written communication skills.
