Associate Director of Workforce and Education

POSITION SUMMARY
ARC is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Workforce and Education (WF & ED) Coordinator to join its Los Angeles team.

The WF & ED Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting the advancement of
ARC’s mission by bringing a practical, but creative perspective to ARC’s workforce and education needs.

The WF & ED Coordinator will support and build upon all aspects of ARC’s workforce and educational programming.

This position will help to explore new and innovative workforce and educational opportunities for ARC’s membership and will help to develop new programming that further advances the department.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Help create new partnerships and cultivate relationships with existing employers.
Be informed of Fair Chance Hiring laws and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission guidelines to help members advocate for themselves.
Conduct employment workshops
– Career Readiness, Interviewing Skills, How to Apply for Employment and Resume Writing.
Assist in maintaining compliance with government (local, state, federal) contracts and private grants that are related to employment and education.
Participate in ARC meetings and case conferences sharing best practices and providing thought partnership to colleagues.
Maintain accurate member/program data to manage caseload and generate reports.
Document each service, outcome, and new steps as well as any observations of members’ skills, job readiness, and/or other opportunities into a case management database.
Analyze and report monthly data as required to maintain accurate client and program-based statistics.
Conduct outreach and make initial contact with referred members.
Identify member’s employment and education needs.
Conduct regular meetings to support with achieving employment/education goals.
The duties and responsibilities outlined above are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned from time to time based on department and business needs.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or 2-3 years working in workforce development with experience navigating higher education system, preferred.
Local travel maybe required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary $52,500-$60,000 D.O.E; Benefits include paid holidays and vacation, a 401k plan with employer match, medical, dental, vision, life, and a range of professional development opportunities.
