Panel Wiremen Job Description
RK Controls, Contract Manufacturing Services, is looking for full time non-contract direct hire employees to perform electrical work on custom built control panels:
Responsibilities:
Build Control Cabinet Enclosures Involves placement and mounting of electrical components in cabinets (Panel Layout), electrical connections, wiring, harness makeup and installation.
Requires basic understanding of electricity/electronics and the ability to read/work from schematics with close attention to detail.
Perform point to point quality check of cabinet before initial power up Willing to work in a team environment.
Basic hand tool experience required, which includes, wire crimping tools, battery powered and large ferrule crimping tools, drilling, tapping assembly of mechanical drive systems and mechanical sub-assemblies The ability to utilize critical thinking and judgment in defining, analyzing and resolving problems and ability to take initiative Responsible for completing work with limited supervision in an expedient and timely manner.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate effective judgment and decision making.
Skills:
Must be able to read electrical schematics.
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer service abilities.
Possess proven skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent time management skills, prioritization of work and the ability to multi-task.
Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
Skill in utilizing critical and creative thinking along with problem solving.
Use hand & power tools.
Mechanical skills a plus.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring.
Must have a minimum of two years electrical experience, or trade school equivalent in electrical component layout, panel wiring, point to point, AC & DC drive systems, motion control, PLC, pneumatics, troubleshooting and testing
