Wait Staff – Part-Time 2nd Shift

Great Place to Work Certified: BestWorkplaces: GPTWCertified: JOB SUMMARY: As part of the Wait Staff team, you will play a key role in ensuring that each meal service runs smoothly and that all of our residents dietary needs are satisfied.

You will be responsible for taking the food and drink orders of residents, ensuring that orders are brought to residents in a timely manner, and cleaning or bussing tables once residents have finished their meal.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Take food and drink orders of residents and guests on POS system.

Place food orders with the kitchen.

Take individual resident dietary restrictions/preferences into account when taking orders by either discussing with residents or referring to dietary board in kitchen.

Observe dietary board to understand individual residents allergies, dietary restrictions, and physicians orders.

Ensure residents and guests are satisfied during the meal service by routinely checking in on tables.

Maintain a clean and tidy work area including, but not limited to the Dining Room, Caf, and Kitchen.

Fold table linens and linen napkins.

Keep caf stocked with fruits and snacks for residents.

Take and deliver room service orders.

Collect and return dirty dishes from hallways and stairways from room service orders.

Cooperate and work together with the Wait Staff team to ensure that each meal service goes smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS: Pass a criminal background check (California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Section 87411).

Respectful and professional interpersonal skills.

Dependable, reliable, and flexible regarding scheduling and shifts.

Ability to read and comprehend basic instruction.

Be able to lift/move up to 35 lbs, any heavier and a lift device will be utilized.

Be able to kneel, stoop, and stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum high school education or GED preferred, but not required.

Experience or training preferred, but not required.

Equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current First Aid/CPR Certification (obtained through community) Current health screen/Physical, negative TB screening, and negative Covid screening (obtained through community) Current Criminal Record Clearance/DOJ Background Check and fingerprinting (obtained through community) Drivers License or Valid State ID.
