VP of Engineering, AI, MedTech

We are a vibrant, Khosla Ventures, Lightbridge & other top-VC backed MedTech company revolutionizing colon cancer & other gastrointestinal ailment detection & treatment technology. What we’re building will save thousands to millions of peoples lives & we have our sited on newer products yet to come. We’re looking for the best-of-the-best technical leaders who will have an opportunity to shape our products & build a team of engineers. We want the best-of-the best so you can be located practically anywhere in the West Coast (LA/OC or surrounding areas preferred)!

If you are a Director of Engineering or VP of Engineering who is adept at building technology & teams for medical devices (Class II) with AI & cloud experience, we want to talk with you!

What You Need for this Position

  • BSCS (MSCS preferred) with 6-10+ years of dedicated MedTech, Software as a Medical Device, Healtcare, Biotech or related commercial product development in a startup environment
  • Combo of hands on development experience and leadership (team is at 5 currently, will scale to 10+)
  • Should have some product management experience
  • Strong Java, C++, JavaScript or other open source web development coding experience
  • Experience with REST, Atlassian services, cloud computing / services
  • High throughput, low-latency and/or distributed software application is a plus
  • Experience with scripting languages like Ruby, Perl, Python, etc. is a plus
  • Cloud hosting experience (i.e. Google Apps, Amazon Web Services, etc.) is a plus
  • Start up people only – need to be an “All-In” type of person

What You Will Be Doing

” Defining, driving, development & architecture for scalable Medical technology software in a highly regulated environment (Class II medical device / SaMD)

” Ensuring SW architecture is secure, scalable, robust, and highly functional

” Leading Product Management & product development

” Evaluation of new technology

” Make & implement platform decisions

” Ultimately guiding, leading software engineers & IT team while improving engineering process

” Roll up your sleeves and code – you should know how to code & code well to lead the team!

  • NOTE: This position 100% remote with potentially some post-covid travel as needed
