Job Details
We’re searching for a senior technical leader who has scaled engineering teams at a hypergrowth Enterprise SaaS startup. The position will report directly to a product focused CEO and will be responsible for representing the technology function at the board level.
This engineering leader isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, take on the challenges thrown their way and work aggressively. The role requires a seasoned strategic leader with a broad, well-rounded set of skills, the highest level of integrity and energy, passion and enthusiasm to learn new things and take on high-growth responsibilities, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
They will be responsible for developing the people, processes, and tools that ensure the reliability, resiliency, and performance of a complex product suite built by a globally distributed team that processes millions of appointments and hundreds of millions of dollars of commerce each month.
Leading multiple teams of talented Software Engineers and Engineering Managers, they will work closely with Product Managers; Designers; Software, DevOps, and Reliability Engineers, and other leaders in the company to continuously evolve the scale and capabilities of our products and platform while consistently increasing the value we deliver to our customers.
We’re consistently innovating and delivering new features to its core suite of products and we want to accelerate our delivery of new products to the fast-growing appointment scheduling and point of sale market. Our engineering teams work in small, concentrated pods to constantly improve our codebase, performance, and feature set.
You’ll start day zero with a team of outstanding engineers and you’ll inherit a roster of top-tier customers ranging from the best of the Fortune 500 to many of the most well known retailers and service sector organizations in the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the technical leader and voice on the Leadership Team, and collaborate with executives across the company to achieve company goals and realize the vision
Recruit, develop, and motivate multiple high performing teams of engineers.
Balance competing priorities to ensure we effectively ship new features while resolving defects and continuing to enhance and evolve our technical foundations
Implement best of breed processes to drive product quality and development velocity
Establish and maintain an architecture and tech debt roadmap, enabling the product to scale optimally
Collaborate with IT counterparts at enterprise customers to understand and propose solutions to their technical needs
Serve as Chief Information Security Officer, and maintain oversight and adherence to information security policy
Manage the budget for the Engineering function
Work cross-functionally with Product and Marketing leadership to drive the technology and brand forward
