Role description:

As the Vice President of Investment Reporting you will partner with senior level portfolio managers and investment professionals with numerous mission critical deliverables to clients, BlackRock management, Product Strategy, legal, and compliance matters.  Reporting to a senior portfolio manager in the US Direct Lending team, you will have the important responsibility to drive and create enhanced investment reporting for management, leverage facility providers, and clients. Additionally, you will develop a fundamental understanding of portfolio management and credit investing to ensure the information from investment professionals and portfolio managers are accurate and reliable. Your work and dedication will directly result in the overall success of the firm. Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with portfolio managers and deal teams on each investment’s potential sizing from a liquidity and compliance standpoint
  • Run hypothetical trading scenarios across all US Direct Lending funds and Middle-Market CLOs
  • Monthly and quarterly client investment, CLO, and leverage facility reporting review and creation
  • Assist portfolio managers manage CLO and leverage facility compliance
  • Help negotiate and structure new leverage facilities and Middle-market CLOs
  • Manage and monitor all leverage facilities’ deliverables (asset-backed, subscription, and CLO)
  • Create and maintain repositories of data to track key metrics and data points for investments.

Skills, experience and education:

  • 7+ years’ experience in financial services, knowledge of credit investments or alternative investments considered a major plus
  • Experience in liability management or CLOs
  • CPA and/or CFA Level 2 or 3 candidate a major plus
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Numerate, responsive with high attention to detail
  • Motivated team player and flexible in approach with ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presents ideas in a clear, concise and constructive manner
  • Ability to prioritize, working to tight deadlines and flexible to meet workload
  • Keen to question, challenge and improve
  • A methodical thinker able to resolve complex issues daily
  • Strong academic background
  • Must be fluent in English
