VP, California Growth Leader – Cities

Job SummaryThe U.S. West region is actively looking for a creative and strategic thinking leader to join our team in California. We are looking to fill two leadership positions, one in Southern California and another in Northern California.Reporting to our Chief Growth Officer, the VP – Cities Lead is responsible for developing growth strategies including:Positioning AECOM within the California infrastructure marketplace.Growing and maintaining relationships with key clients and partners, both in the public and private sectors.Interacting with governments and public agencies at the federal, state and municipal levels, demonstration of the power of collaboration between our business linesGrowth across all infrastructure sectors in the State, coordinating with activities in other West region urban regionsRaise the profile of AECOM as a full service provider across all business linesIn developing strategies for growth, work closely with key regional leaders, including the Regional Business Line LeadersResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Works independently to direct, establish, maintain and plan the overall policies and goals for the major accounts in the area.Responsible for developing and guiding new proposal opportunities that will ensure sustained profit growth within the business unit.May direct the activities of employees dedicated to attaining large contracts or business of significant financial impact.Has extensive knowledge of the business to support cross-discipline, business line, and region collaboration.Previous experience with proposal development, including qualifications and cost.The key performance measurement for the position is higher success levels on key pursuits, accomplished by demonstrating AECOM’s commitment to thought leadership and providing solutions in the areas of highest interest to large cities/urban regions. This will include earlier and improved positioning, and marshalling solutions that cross all business lines.Minimum RequirementsTwelve (12) years of related experience in a consulting services environment with a focus on growth and project management.Four (4) years of leadership experience.Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field of study.California Licensed PE or AIA (OAA in Canada), or ability to obtain one of these certifications within one (1) year after starting the rolePreferred QualificationsPrior public/owner’s side experience.What We OfferWe will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
