VP Business Development

Job Description: 

We are currently seeking to fill a VP of Business Development to support and enhance our growing client base. Serving in this capacity you will be assigned a strategic portfolio that includes current clients ripe for expansion and a list of targeted accounts for you to break into. You will be supported by Company’s premier marketing, product, and solutions teams. The Company portfolio includes syndicated and custom solutions to address clients’ advertising, communications, brand, customer experience, new product development, market assessment, and a full array of other market insights consulting services.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Develop current strategic client relationships to grow revenue by understanding their needs and break into new areas.
  • Break into new accounts and develop relationships within these accounts.
  • Identify client needs, set up meetings, and partner with the appropriate Company subject matter and product experts to develop and address these client needs.
  • Shepherd the proposal process both internally and externally from identification to closing the sale.
  • Negotiate contracts and renewals.
  • Manage overall client relationships with a focus on client satisfaction and new sales expansion.
  • Provide feedback based on client needs to solutions and product teams.

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have a proven record in consultative market research sales.
  • Thrive in a team environment partnering with the client and internal teams for success.
  • Be sales and revenue motivated.
  • Be able to multi-task and develop an on-going pipeline of opportunities using our CRM tools.
  • Have success measured via making and exceeding revenue goals

Your experience will include:

  • 10+ years experience in market research, business development, and client relationship management.
  • Experience in being a sales hunter and closer
  • Strong negotiation skills are a must
  • Strong knowledge of market research, advertising, and insights industry
  • New account business development
