– Provide medical care and treatment to animals in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting
– Diagnose and treat various medical conditions and illnesses in animals
– Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as necessary
– Prescribe medications and administer vaccinations
– Conduct physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventive measures
– Maintain accurate medical records for all patients

– Animal care: Ability to provide compassionate care for animals, including handling, feeding, and grooming
– Practice management: Knowledge of veterinary clinic operations, including scheduling appointments, managing inventory, and maintaining client records
– Animal handling: Proficiency in safely restraining and handling animals during examinations and procedures
– Veterinary critical care: Ability to provide emergency medical care and stabilize critically ill or injured animals
– Animal restraint: Skill in safely restraining animals for examinations, treatments, or procedures
– Kennel: Knowledge of kennel operations, including cleaning, feeding, and exercising animals
– Veterinary: Comprehensive understanding of veterinary medicine principles, practices, and procedures
– Animal husbandry: Knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, breeding, and reproduction
– Laboratory: Proficiency in conducting laboratory tests and interpreting results
– Veterinary terminology: Familiarity with medical terminology specific to veterinary medicine
– MUST BE CALIFORNIA BOARD CERTIFIED DVM
